The TVF/BFOT ( Tempe Veterans Foundation / Boots for OUR Troops
) program will start at all Basha's, Food City and AJ's
across Arizona on May 1, 2009. The Basha's program will end on
May 30, 2009.
I
attached a list of Pizza Hut's that will participate in the TVF/BFOT
program from June 9, 2009 - July 6, 2009.
Our regular scheduled statewide program will start Aug 1, 2009 and end on Oct 31, 2009.

We will have "volunteer packets" available

explains the BFOT program to prospective participants
2. A sample of a paper cut out Boot

store will receive

about the program
Please note that there is NO CHARGE for
any store to particpate in the program. There is NO requirement
for a store to sell all the "Boots" issued. We ask that the
owner build a " Donor wall" to display the boots purchased in a
prominent location within their establishment. We ask that the
participating stores return any unused Boots, "ASK ME" buttons
with their check for the amount their customers donated at the
end of the program ( Oct 31, 2009 )
In 08, BFOT raised 24,700 dollars. We had
100 stores participating in 29 cities across Arizona. All the
money raised in Arizona was distributed to 501C3 veterans
service organizations for the benefit of Arizona military
personnel, their families and veterans who reside in Arizona.
90% of the donations were distributed to
organizations such as:
1. US Vets ( Prescott and Phoenix )
2. Comin Home ( Tucson )
3. OWW ( Phoenix and Tucson )
4. Az State Dept of Veterans Services
Military Families Relief Fund
5. Army Community Services ( Sierra Vista
Ft Huachuca )
6. Merritt Center ( Payson )
7. Challenged Athlete Foundation
8. Project We Remember
In 09', we expect to distribute greater
than 90% to qualified 501C3 Veteran Service Organization.
