The TVF/BFOT ( Tempe Veterans Foundation / Boots for OUR Troops ) program will start at all Basha's, Food City and AJ's across Arizona on May 1, 2009.  The Basha's program will end on May 30, 2009.
 
I attached a list of Pizza Hut's that will participate in the TVF/BFOT program from June 9, 2009 - July 6, 2009.  

Our regular scheduled statewide program will start Aug 1, 2009 and end on Oct 31, 2009. 

 
 
Any ALR members who would like to help us enlist stores in their neighborhoods should contact :

We will have "volunteer packets" available shortly after May 1. These packets will contain:
 
1.  Several tri fold pamphlet that explains the BFOT program to prospective participants
 
2. A sample of a paper cut out Boot
 
3. A sample of the poster a participating store will receive
 
4. An " ASK ME" button
 
5.  Basic instructions and information about the program
 
Please note that there is NO CHARGE for any store to particpate in the program.  There is NO requirement for a store to sell all the "Boots" issued. We ask that the owner build a " Donor wall" to display the boots purchased in a prominent location within their establishment. We ask that the participating stores return any unused Boots, "ASK ME" buttons with their check for the amount their customers donated at the end of the program  ( Oct 31, 2009 )
 
In 08, BFOT raised 24,700 dollars. We had 100 stores participating in 29 cities across Arizona.  All the money raised in Arizona was distributed to 501C3 veterans service organizations for the benefit of Arizona military personnel, their families and veterans who reside in Arizona.
90% of the donations were distributed to organizations such as:
 
1. US Vets  ( Prescott and Phoenix )
2. Comin Home  ( Tucson )
3. OWW  ( Phoenix and Tucson )
4.  Az State Dept of Veterans Services  Military Families Relief Fund
5.  Army Community Services ( Sierra Vista Ft Huachuca )
6. Merritt Center ( Payson )
7. Challenged Athlete Foundation
8. Project We Remember
 
In 09', we expect to distribute greater than 90% to qualified 501C3 Veteran Service Organization. 
 
We will post all participating location on our website located at www.tempeveteransfoundation.org

We will ask that this website address be included in all printed articles in any newspaper within Arizona. www.tempeveteransfoundation.org The success of the BFOT progra is all about making it convenient for the public to donate.  We would like to invite large scale workplaces to build donor walls also.
